The Building Industry Association of Hawaii has been awarded a federal Department of Labor grant to provide training to address occupational safety and health hazards encountered in natural disaster site response and cleanup activities in Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and Hawaii.
Those who might have to respond to a catastrophic storm, engage in cleanup/recovery activity, etc. are invited to attend to benefit from information on conducting clean up and preparedness activities more safely, including volunteers, employers, workers, contractors, first responders, etc.
Topics covered will be hazard mitigation, hazard observation, response and recovery, and preparedness.
